About Dolo

Bill Guandolo is the inspiration behind Dolo. Bill has multiple interests and one is clearly his creative side of writing, performing and playing his original songs. A few of his friends used to call him "Dolo" for short and when he was putting his original band together and all the other names seemed to just miss the mark.  One day in the studio the bands producer, John Custer, who had written Dolo on the demo tapes looked up and said, "Why don't you just call the band Dolo?"  And that is what stuck.

Bill continues to write and record music, perform live, and is now looking for ways to give back to the community in any way he can. He gives to his church, does charity work and participates in other non-profit organizations but wanted to do more.  One day Bill heard a local Christian radio station run a promotion asking people to do random acts of kindness for other people.  One of them was paying for ther person behind you in line at the fast food drive through. It touched Bill when a person with 5 kids, who barely had enough for her McDonald's meal was immensely moved by the generosity of the person in front of her who paid for her entire meal.  She had never met this person who did a very generous act for her entire family without saying a word. Bill felt if he could somehow inspire people to demonstrate and do those types of ordinary and outward expressions of love for others who really need it then he might be able to make a positive difference in the world.

On that day, the deeper meaning of Dolo was born and asking people to Do Ordinary Love Outreach began to grow. Bill decided to see if he could reach people with an ackronym of his name and inspire people to give to those who were truly in need. So if you or anyone you know wants to give to those in need then think of Dolo as a verb and act today!

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
